LOL @ Bus & Taxi drivers. They think because they drive for a living that they have more right on the road than everyone else.
I know that in the Highway Code there is an advisory note to let buses pull out, but that doesn't give them the right of way.

Fag butt's being throw out of car windows, nearly hitting you....

People attempting to remove 3 months worth of grime off there windscreen with their washers, with you behind.....

Car drivers getting arsey if you make more progress than them....

Or is it just me ?

Never had the fag butt either, but I have a strong aversion to bits of wood falling off wagons, my knuckles were bruised for a week after that, even through my carbon protection images/smilies/mad.gif

Bus on a 'give way' cut me up today. Trying to be sympathetic thought 'well he's got more inertia than me', but then thought that as he was looking at me when he did it, NO it's not on. So it got close and to a shouting match.

He came out of his cab so the bike went on the sidestand...

How can people be so arsey when it was clearly my right of way?

Also how can 'professional drivers' have the time or commitment to approach close quarters aggression? Beats me...

He got back in the cab with a mouthful of 'how the f*** could I hold you up if i got in front'...

Expect more of the same on Monday...

Back to your point, you need to have riden a bike to not clean your screen in front of one; however fag butts are thrown at the Scoob too!

Thanks guys, I'm not alone then !
Deisel, I had a bus driver hang out of his window by 2 feet to try and smack me one  I was on a pizza bike at the time and beat a hasty retreat up the pavement ;)

Bus drivers ehh? I just dont get it how they have the time or inclination to get aggro'd up when they are on the road all day. Also they get paid if the bus is on time or not, so why do they jump red lights, compromising their passengers safety and I guess risking the sack if they get snapped doing it?

Beats me, but if i was ever on a bus and he/she blatantly jumped a red (I see it every day) I would have a go...

Nice one JGM, didn't see your first thread !
I must share this story with you about a bus ride I had on Saturday last.
I waited for a bus for 15 mins ( probably get a bus once a month )
I saw one coming and stopped it, I wasn't sure if he was going where I wanted, as it happens he wasn't, but as we spoke the bus I wanted went sailing by :( . So what does bus driver do ? She says get on quick, we'll catch him :)
It was class, the driver floored it up the road, with me standing next to him holding onto the bars by the winscreen for support  Anyway, we caught him at the next stop but he pulled off before we stopped.
So my driver hacked it round Purley cross, carefully ;) undertook him ( very wide road ) and pulled up at the next stop before the other bus had even stopped
What a guy, he wished me well and I thanked him immensley :D
So all I can say is I've met the best bus driver in England !
Regards,
Andy

PS It even saved me 20p !

Undertaking? That'll be when any car worth more than £15,000 won't run in any other lane than the overtaking lane. And at the cost of them, i am more surprised that most owners don't go for the optional extra of indicators!
