Down to the individual Sphink. I enjoy doing them, but appreciate your point. Are you anti-wheelie because you can't?
;)

Wheelies.
It is BIG and it is actually quite clever!!

And this is me on my own private road of course.
Not on my current bike (GSXR1000), must get some photos of it pawing the air soon.

Not uploaded a photo before so hope this works.

Edited to say I see it did work.
In that case here is a picture I have been meaning to post for a long time. Nothing to do with wheelies I am afraid, but bike related!! Enjoy.

Hi Danny,
No idea who she is mate, but she certainly caught the crowds attention at the MotorCycle show.

Hopefully this Saturday/Sunday will be on.
I don't think we are doing an MTB run this Sunday, so either day we should be able to get a ride going.
As soon as I know I will drop you a mail.
cheers

Complete waste of fekking time, dangerous, Knacker fork seals, headstock bearings, gets you point on your license, you complete spoon, why do you try to make yourself look hard you bighead.

Fantastic show of skill, cant beat that feeling when the front end punches the air, especially when you are overtaking a cager on the back wheel, all the gals think it's ace, coz you are dead hard, and besides, who cares what any-one else thinks ?

Discuss.

If I'm on someone else's bike, they're ace and I'm rock hard ;)

If someone else is on my bike, they're crap and everyone pulling a wheelie should be banned immediately :D

Gooser,

Not anti-wheelie at all. I enjoy hoisting a minger now and then (don't tell the misuss :). Just trying to find out other peoples views.

To tell you the truth, I got off the SVS onto an XR600R and the vicious bitch is still running with off road gearing, so the front wheel tends to get pretty light unintentionally. No mirrors make it a real barsteward to see if the Rozzers are sitting behind me as well. Don't think my excuse of gearing would wash with them though.

Now I know you are kidding...........

SVS cant wheelie, it's a known fact, something to do with one tooth less on the cog.

gooser

Trust me. They can. The naked one even better, coz it's geared more that way.

That picture has been doctored.

I have never known any-one pull a wheelie on an SVS.

Had I still been riding the SVS, I would be jumping to your SV baiting, but I'll just remember her fondly. :)
On another point, is it possible to wheelie a shaft driven bike?
I heard due to some sort of physics it wasn't poss.

Its just up to the individual, but I still think its the business.Had a blade and never bothered to try once, got an R1 last year and will pull 100mph wheelies as long as you want to keep it on the balancing point. As for shaft driven wheelies had a Z1300 yrs ago and never tried one,but have a video of Gary Rothwell pulling monster wheelies on one at the isle of man on home footage,so definately possible on 2days bikes.

LMAO

Have you ever been on Visordown Gooser ????

I too had an SV650. Loved the bike, but the standard Metzler4 tyres were by far the worst tyres I have ever ridden on.

And yes, I know they cant wheelie.

I was actually making reference to the Bikenet one, just goes to show how common a question it is when the old wheelie thread appears.

"Shaft Bike's Can't Wheelie" ,

haha,
the local wheelie/stunt rider Neil Porter was called for a photoshoot at our local wheelie road for Streetfighters magazine and he had to wheelie a shaft drive BMW complete with pannier set!!
My mate works with him and said it looked a picture :),the bike pulling to the side when he used the throttle;)

Nothing makes me smile more than sitting at some lights in my car and seeing a biker have a wheelie. It's a top cheer-up. Hence, when commuting in on my DRZ400SM, I wheelie from every set of traffic lights that I stop at. Hopefully entertaining those poor buggers sat in their cars.
