uncle buck 09 January 2002, 21:53 oops :D - that's just bad luck. :D

Good point... used to be surprise to see him each time.. was an accident waiting to happen..
...and on a lovely Foxeye Blade too!!... but was riding it like a CG125 he probably took his test on...

neilbbb 29 August 2002, 20:11 i've just got back from a 75 mile ride out.
all nice A roads with lots of twisty bits. Now the route takes me through a couple of towns where i always try and take it easy. every time i slowed down or stopped at a junction or roundabout i had some ar*e (in mercs, bmws or audis) trying to get into my leathers or cut me up.
why do they do it? I can filter in traffic and on the road they won't get close. is it some inadequacy thing?
sorry rant over..
muppet paster 29 August 2002, 20:15 :D
And boy racers from lights
And the one tosser always sat miles over to the right of the lane so you can't filter past... images/smilies/mad.gif
And box junctions! WTF can't use them as they should be used, that way they may work! images/smilies/mad.gif
Oh bugger, you've started me off now!
TRIGGER 30 August 2002, 09:18 Dont get me started....Mercs are unbelievable....and white vans that pull out in traffic to stop you filtering....
Corpulent Tosser 30 August 2002, 10:45 And the one tosser always sat miles over to the right of the lane so you can't filter past
I resent that statement images/smilies/mad.gif
Jolly Green Monster 2 30 August 2002, 13:00 did you say you 'resemble that statement'? ;) only kidding..
Also get people on the M25 openning the car doors so I cannot get past... muppets..
JGM
john coffey 30 August 2002, 13:18 Had a guy drive over my toes once whilst I was waiting at the front of the queue at some traffic lights. Good job I had steel toe cappers on!
I love filtering through traffic, can't wait till tonight on the M4,M25,M3 watching all the cagers stuck in traffic.
Saves me 2hrs a day if I come by bike.

daz b 01 September 2002, 20:30 jolly are u joking i hope
uncle buck 01 September 2002, 20:40 Yes, but you also get the people who see you coming up behind them and pull in to let you past, some even indicate left to let you know they've seen you coming.
They always get a big thumbs up or a wave from me ;):D
daz b 01 September 2002, 20:44 yes i agree people do that but once someone pulled over i overtook them and went on the white line, not over and got a ts20 from the copper 4 cars back
daz b 01 September 2002, 21:18 no he told me he was 4 cars back, must of pulled on from a side road,+ he let me see the vascar footage(so kind of him)
uncle buck 01 September 2002, 21:38 was it unmarked?
daz b 01 September 2002, 21:42 yes it was a vectra
uncle buck 01 September 2002, 22:09 Sh1t :( again - bad luck. Scum suckers images/smilies/mad.gif
Anyway, I find the most offensive car drivers tend to be lone women in 106's, or other hatchback cr@p who have zero undestanding of motorcycle ettiquet (spelling?) and just *will not* get out of the fcukin' way no matter how close you get to thier (car's) arses images/smilies/mad.gif
Actually I'll modify that statement to *nearly all* women. They just don't seem to get it do they? All I want to do is get past you, but oh no... you are going to make it as difficult as possible.
please, give us bikers a break :(
(flame suit on) :D

Jolly Green Monster 2 02 September 2002, 12:23 jolly are u joking i hope
No not joking...
used to do the M25 everyday, junction 31 (Dartford Tunnel) to 23..
and M26 junction to junction 10 also..
Currently doing it weekly Dartford tunnel round to junction 21 (M1) unless I is late and then I jump on the M11 (M25 junction 27).
You do get nice car drivers that move over etc...
But the woman that threw the cigerette out the window at my this morning got some abuse but she looked clueless as you what my problem was... :dizzy:
JGM :)
The_Gza 02 September 2002, 17:11 Agree with the above - buuuutttt - you do also get the occassional tosspot on a bike as well.
Example - the kn0b on the A68 yesterday who decided that he'd show me just how quick his bike was by overtaking me as I was overtaking a slower car, and then slowing back down and making a "come on" gesture. I didn't bother so he accelerated away into the distance and then slowed back down again and waited until I caught up and then proceeded to use his leg to pretend he was pushing the bike. Hilarious  If I wanted to race you I'd be on the track mate - not on a speed camera infested road famed for being an accident blackspot images/smilies/mad.gif :(
Again, its the minority that give the others the bad reputation :(
daz b 02 September 2002, 17:19 I know two guys that do the same ,prob is they are off duty coppers
gooser 02 September 2002, 17:21 Must say GZA, I've never had the misfortune to meet a prick like that, someone that baits you for a race. We all know, if you'd fancied it, then you'd have been after him straight away. Perhaps it was a new kind of Pig Sting ??
Jolly Green Monster 2 02 September 2002, 17:21 Agree with you....
there are many nkobs on bikes too but usually they don't cause me anything other than amusement but they do fuel the anti bikers campain...
Like the guy I used to see at least once or twice a week on the M25 who didn't seem to understand that you could apply the front brake slowly and did stoppies frequently when the traffic stopped quick like it does all the time on the M25.. they were by accident too as he used to drop a foot off the footpeg and go sideways and then slowed right down looking very scared for the next miles or so.. people like that shouldn't be on a bike..
JGM
uncle buck 02 September 2002, 17:27 ...and they won't be for long :D
as my dad used to say "there are no bad motorcyclists - they're all dead" :D ;)
neilbbb 02 September 2002, 17:31 no question about it there are lots of d*ckheads on bikes too.
but most car drivers are not aware of us bike riders (which is 'kin dangerous), a large majority of those that are seem to enjoy trying to hurt us (which is also dangerous).
for my part i'll continue going out early mornings for a rideout (safest time of day), first old f*rt i see going off to the garden centre on the road then i'm off home
gooser 02 September 2002, 17:36 And I can still hear the instructors words echoing in his ears...
"And remember to hoist on that brake lever as hard as you can, these drum brakes are getting a bit old hat.."
Jolly Green Monster 2 02 September 2002, 17:39 "And remember to hoist on that brake lever as hard as you can, these drum brakes are getting a bit old hat.."
LOL!
