banshi,

Derian House (http://www.derianhouse.org.uk) is a children's hospice looking after kids with life-threatening and terminal illnesses.

A Christmas run out for those kids would be a fantastic idea. :D

If there's any bikers reading, you may know of the New Brighton Easter Egg Run (http://bikething.co.uk/news/news11.htm). This was started around 15 years ago (from memory) by a group of bikers wanting to do a run from New Brighton to Arrowe Park hospital, with each biker taking an Easter Egg for a kid. Each year, word spread and the event became more and nore popular, with bikers coming from all four corners of the world.

Last year, around TWENTY THOUSAND bikers joined in :D:D:D:D

Chaz, kid hospitals are always the prime target. How about a large General one with a couple of childrens wards?

Royal Oldham for example :)

thanks for the vote of support. i would like to know how many think it is a good idea, andhow many would be willing to take part. this could become an annual thing, and we could make a different hopital/hospice each year.
before going any further, i need to know if it's worth going to see the staff at DERION HOUSE, and get details from them.
let me know your opinions, so that we can sort it out. lets do some good for somebody else less fortunate.

Thanks CHAOS69

hi chas

yeah i'm up for it. need to know date to ensure time off.

to everyone else - please make an effort. i work in a hospital myself, often with terminally ill patients and small tokens like this can bring so much to what life they have. 1 day out of our lives is nothing.

best stop there before people start reaching for their hankies.

come on let me have your opinion. it matters, i've gotta try and get this off the ground. i will do it with a few cars or alot, but it will take place, and some kids will hopefully get a smile and an extra pressy at Xmas.
it's a good cause and will mean alot to some people............. we were all kids once!!!

Stu, thanks for the info.
The post may seem little off hand but do notice the smiley.

Chaz, get organising. It has to start somewhere, if there are only four cars it's better than none.
