MattH 23 August 2002, 09:17 I've had a few bikes over the years but currently have a RSV1000 and a fightered bandit12, with more that a few mods inc. N20. as well as the STi and my EVO6 I used to race with bemsee and started of in the ss400 on a file tuned RGV250 69rwhp, decided I wasn't fast enough on that being 6ft, so got rid for a full spec trx (yes not the best looking bike), but was bored out to 900cc by TTS, Gas flowed head, Marchanesies, Spondon Alley Tank, flatslides, cams, braced swinging arm Olins rear Maxtom Front, and a whole lot more. was running 100rwhp exactly, firt time out was at lyden and I nocked 5 seconds a lap of my previous best on the RGV, which for a small circut idealy suited to the RGV, I thought was damd good. Previous bikes TL1000R before the RSV, Blade before that, ZX6r Before that. and all the 50's and 125's acociated with being to your tto ride a real bike. I have to say, for those out the that want there first bike, if your tall enough to ride a 600, leave the 400's alone. fireblade929 23 August 2002, 10:01 Y2K blade also....same mods bar a race micron serpeant system, titanium oval can. JonW 28 August 2002, 14:09 UKHuskyNOX - YHM Replicated here in case anyone else is tempted (and added DRz info): KDX250SR -------- Japanese Import in black and light green. SR model means this bike has autolube oil injection, steel tank, indicators, toolbag, key ignition, full speedo and passenger footpegs. USD forks etc. Extras include: Renthal bars, Acerbis Rally Pro brush guards (which my ex scagged up on her old KMX125 giving it a hard look!), Large Rack, <100 miles on new Chain and Sprockets and <300miles on new Pirelli MT21 tyres front and rear. Ive used it mainly for light green lane use but this would be a really easy bike to live with on a daily basis for commuting etc. Bike is in good nick and really does not look K reg. Only done just over 5k miles. All parts for this bike are easily available as the chassis is mostly KDX125 and the engine bits are KX250 meaning its an easy import to live with. Cheap insurance too. Looking for £1895. Suzuki DRz400e -------------- Electric Start version of the fabulous DRz400 which is a great green lane bike or basis for a reliable and fun supermoto. Late 2000 model with only 167 miles on the clock! Yes that's right a genuine 167 miles only! I took it out on two light trails to run it in and thats all Ive done... criminal really... sigh. Bike Is full road registered on an X Plate. This is a full UK bike and not an import with all books etc. One owner from new, ie. me! Bike comes with full CRD package: - CRD alloy bashplate - CRD stainless frameguards - CRD stainless quiet (92db) silencer - CRD stainless front pipe Full top of the range road legaliser kit (headlight and fairing, taillight, brakelight switch, handlebar switch and speedo etc - All top kit by Acerbis, KTM (CEV) etc and professionally fitted by Taylor Racing) Carb mod carried out (boosts mid range) and sexy Reikon bars with Acerbis Rally Pro brush guards fitted. Also have all orignal kit (Headlight and fairing, rear light, exhaust bits and lots of other bits and bobs). This bike was put togther with no expense spared but ive just not had the chance to use it so its got to go to a good home. This bike cost me just shy of 5k to build, its not cheap but its got all the right bits and it really is like brand new - yours for £3895. Jon. Note: pic uploaded isnt working so there are no pix here as yet - will sort when its back up...
