I've finally taken the plunge & got the new private plate, it now just needs physically making. There are clearly a lot of private plates on Scoobynet- where did you go to get them made & were you happy with the service etc? What design did you go for?

Carnoisseur (sp?) did mine. Best quality i've had, but i don't know who they out-source them to. Didn't mess about with a fancy script or anything, not my bag. £30 for a pair if i remember correctly.

Thanks guys. Just been looking on the gtgrafix.com website- £25 for a pair. They have a useful bit about the law & anything fancy seems to be illegal anyway. The most you could go for is a St George cross under the EU thingy.

Yep halfords for me. Just a basic standard font and a ST Georges Cross Sticker stuck on when I got it home, also reclaimed my...
My other car is an X-wing sticker from my Pug 205 :)

Halfords wont do "Creative Spacing", just had some made up and they use templates and arent allowed to deviate.

Fancyplates (see banner ad) are first class, helpful, and very quick. :D

Fancyplates- Great site for making your own plates, but no guidance re. legallity of choices, which gtgrafix does give. This leaves me with one question, how many spaces does there legally have to be between the 2 parts of the reg. eg:

M1 WRX (1 space); M1 WRX (2 spaces)

Note: This is NOT my plate, & has been used for illustration purposes only. Apologies to the owner, its use is entirely coincidental.

I am not sure why this has been moved to this forum, perhaps the mods are saying that my Dealer is the best place to get a new plate made?!?! :p

Thanks for the useful replies ;)
