View Full Version : Adjustable 22b/StiV style rear spoiler
Tim W 10 August 2002, 15:44 Anyone know where I can get my hands on one of these?
It has to have an adjustable wing for me to tinker around with down force...
Oh and I'm not made of money so the lower the price the better ;)
ChristianR 10 August 2002, 17:41 cf middle bit by any chance ? :)
Tim W 11 August 2002, 11:49 Scoobymania's is the MRT one isn't it?
I was hoping to pick up a pukka one, a friend of mine has a genuine WRC rear wing, but becasue the adjusters are titanium he didn't get them with it and has a fixed centre.
I suppose I could make my own using an Sti 5 style wing as a starting point though...maybe I should join in the group buy
dhorwich 11 August 2002, 11:59 Tim,
The one sold at scoobymania althought expensive looks miles ahead in terms of quality and function.... im sure you can afford it, just remember to adjust it when your on the motorway, this would answer the question to "shi* why am i only getting 5 MPG...":)
Or are you thinking of your poor old gear box after elvington...;):):)

Tim W 11 August 2002, 13:10 Dan I can't afford 470+vat! That's a set of pistons for a pukka engine
Nah, have plans to get something 'made' to do the job just need a donor for the mould...anyone wnat to 'lend' me a spoiler for a couple of weeks, ideally someone with a 22b off the road...
StiScoobySteve 13 August 2002, 03:33 If you're willing to bring one in from Aus, MRT Rally have a replica adjustable 22B wing for $571 AUD.
:)
Tim W 13 August 2002, 13:48 Thats's the 470 quid one from Scoobymania ;) Cost of getting it here and all that makes it near as damit the same price...ah well I'll sort something one day
wrxrob 14 August 2002, 21:24 get in on the group buy mate it will save you loads and im sure you are good enough to modify it?
lethargicman 15 August 2002, 02:56 I actually have a 22B replica wing for sale. It also has an adjustable carbon fiber center. I'm giving it up in favor of the version 5 wing. Only one problem, I'm in California.

Adam M 15 August 2002, 13:31 tim, the only problem is finding a 22B owner with the car permanently off the road, perhaps anders?
I am not keen to have mine removed as I believe they are attached with silicon and would rather not remove that.
Tim W 20 August 2002, 13:37 How about this idea then Adam, we get the boot lid and spoiler moulded as one ;)
Just kidding...although...
ChristianR 20 August 2002, 22:20 how about this tim? made for high speed runs!

Tim W 22 August 2002, 14:06 Christian, though about it once, but it's a tad to unsubtle for my tastes ;)
MATTeL 22 August 2002, 14:14 Tim I managed to get a 22B style spoiler, like the ones mentioned above for a bit cheaper that the above prices.
Of course it then had to be painted...
Mail me if you want to know more.
Mark
