I looked at them and swapped a few emails with 'em. Seem very helpful and friendly although I didnt order. Wanted to have more then the standard UK template but after checking the DVLA site it seems you can fail your MOT and get fined up to £1000. Shame I was hoping to get away with standard UK font and spacing but with my nickname along the bottom and Subaru logon on the left edge. Havent got £ for a fine right now On the plus side thats because I spent £700 in Spearmint Rhinos on a stag do last weekend

Yep, I used them! Needed new plates with the GB on the left, as I don't want a horrible white GB sticker on the car So mine looks like this...

but the TORQUE OF THE DEVIL is in italics, and they've made the blue fade colour a darker blue to match my car . Very good service - arrived 48 hours after I ordered it.

I ordered a set of plates last friday and they turned up this morning all perfect. Only problem now is the crap plastic Subaru screws have snapped when screwing back in, so it's out with the drill. At least new screws and caps were supplied.

there are loads of these on the road though, I think the police just dont bother unless theyve pulled the person already in which case they may just do him for the plate as well

I really wanted to get one. Just started getting twitchy the more I read the DVLA stuff. No border, use correct font, no logos, no extra text, must have garage name on blah de blah de blah.

Guess you just takes yer chances?!

Yeah, but I'm going abroad to live in Germany So who's going to pull me over there?

I think the police are really only after the tiny plates and ones with wacky fonts. Mine uses the standard font and, yes, the B is moved across, but on the real plates it's not as extreme as it is on the picture above. I wouldn't worry too much (but don't hold me to that!)

Cheers

Yup, used them because of this thread - here's my experience:

I wanted a standard UK plate but with a few modifications so I sent an email to Fancyplates and they replied within 20 minutes! That's good on a given day but this was Saturday, and past 10pm! So brownie point no.1! Then I placed the order, asked for the mods (bring all the letters together to make a word and modify one of the numbers ever so slightly to make it look like a letter - this was for show purposes, not using on the road...) And they said no problem, we can do that! So I went onto their excellent website, made the plate up until I liked the look of it nice and quickly, confirmed the order, paid and went to bed! Another BP!

Then on Tuesday morning (1 working day after placing the order) I received the plates! Amazing speed of service you'd agree, if sent from within the UK but no, this company is based in Ireland! Still can't believe the speed! Third Brownie point well deserved!

Then as if that wasn't enough, I received the plates exactly as I asked, and I mean exactly! i.e. I couldn't have done better myself if I had the equipment and I am a fussy ba$tard! AND, they even supplied all the screws and caps (three colours - black, yellow, white) AND double sided sticky foam pads in case you preferred that method of attachement! Jeez, when I last bought plates from Halfords, the screws OR sticky pads were extra! Fourth, what the hell, Fifth brownie point well and truly deserved!

I so totally have nothing to do with this company, I just like to blow the trumpet of those that genuinely impress me with their service as I'm in business myself and know how difficult it is to keep customers happy. And these guys did a top job - they deserve any praise they can get!

Anyway, I think that's enough from me - I'm off to bed!

Cheers and thanks once more to Connor at fancyplates!

Yep, agree with that - they did everything I asked them to (i.e. change of shading colour, putting my slogan in italics, etc )

Top guys!

Cool

Tell you what guys, don't bother drilling your plates, those sticky pads are stickyer than a really sticky sticky thing! I put my front plate on with 2 of them but didn't get it quite central, the next day I decided to take it off to reposition it and I nearly pulled my front bumper off in the process When I finally did get it off I just used the same pads to stick it back again.

Ah, but I'm 'using' the screw hole covers to make S600B look like SCOOB In fact, one of these screws wouldn't have worked on the front so I glued on the cover to the plate and used a sticky pad to put that side of the plate onto the bumper Cheeky I know, but who's going to pull me over in Germany?
