Turbo MY98 4dr UK car. 31yrs old. garaged. 0 ncd.

DLine quote with high level rear spoiler £1506. Without the spoiler £1241. Seems a lot to me just for the spoiler?

DLine web quote was £1142. This doesnt make sense. You save 5% by buying online. So add 5% you get £1199. Not the same as the without spoiler option on the phone? Where is the consistency. If I ring 10 times will it change each time? Excess was £150 less on web too?

Is the high level spoiler a mod as opposed to optional extra???? Surely, it should cost nowt if it's the subaru one thats fitted as standard to the MY99 onwards. For instance if i wanted the smaller spoiler fitted to my MY99 from new from new, it would have been an optional extra. But would i have to pay more for it on indurance?

Dunno what DL and Priv's game is but I got fed up with 'em for taking the pi$$.

Liverpool Vitoria quoted cheaper and don't give a stuff about the spoiler, costs not 1p more to put on gold wheels and full ScoobySport exhaust, doesn't have to have a tracker, excess is sensibly broken down into theft/fire/accident and is much less than others.

If insurance co.s want you to agree to a quote when giving the hard sell at the end then they should be honest and give the best price they can to begin with.

Getting Scoob on Monday 1st July and will be back on the phone to Liverpool Victoria, Kelly - very friendly and helpful, and give 'em my payment details.

LV quote was £1154 garaged and £1298 on the street.
(Edited to put in LV quote cost. Forgot before. Doh!)

Doesnt it drive you nuts!

Rang LV on Monday to say right go for it. My details hadnt been stored! So we went through it again but this time it is £170 more Apparently it had been done incorrectly on Friday, and you know that how... when my details werent stored?

So I go back to Privilege. They have my quote stored but they hadnt included my spoiler? Optional extra the high level instead of flat. Should that count? Anyway it goes up by £370!

FFS. If I had taken either on Friday I could have saved some money. But... would that have helped in the event of a claim if they got it wrong?

So I went back to LV and took it.

Not happy though. There is just no consistency. For all I know, with the confidence built..not, I still don't have the right thing or at the right price.

However, to offset my doom and gloom I collected my Scoob yesterday. Yippeeee!
