Hi - a mate with this system has always wondered what would happen if the mobile number that it's registered with was dialled. We tried it earlier and a recording reports "I'm sorry, this number is currently out of service".
Anyone with one of these systems? Or if you know about them should we get this message???

Maybe it's because they aren't working since the company b0rked again?

It should be working fine ... just talked to AutoQ/Guard to change the address its' registered to. The number and telemetry is registered with and provided by Orange, nothing to do with the people who went bust.
Also the last time I talked to AutoQ/EGuard they said that [someone] had gone bust (I *think* it was AutoQ?) but they were still providing the service as normal.

The whole issue appears a little confused. I have one fitted and tried to write to them and got no reply. Yes the telemetry agreement is with Orange... but the monitoring agreement was with TELEMATIX (who have since gone bust... again). I suspect the units are not worth the juice they are pulling from the car. Unless anyone else knows different.

AutoQ are looking after this now, not Telematix. I have a friend in the Insurance business who is looking into this now, but earlier I forgot to knock the system off and had to ring them to confirm a false alarm. The guy said that he saw it coming in and thanks for letting them know. That doesn't sound like a system that doesn't work / out of business.
A lot of crap / guesswork / speculation / mis-information has been said about this, hopefully I'll get an answer soon. When I do I'll post up the outcome.

I await with interest... and so I suspect do a lot of people.
Mind you... I would have thought that if Auto-Q is going to honor the agreement that I signed with Global-i / TELEMATIX (not TELEMATIX ltd. as this was the original company that went bust). Then I would have thought they would have written to the customer base (IE. "us").
O'hum...
