If the battery is not under warranty then I am looking to replace it. What is the most powerful battery that will fit without modification in the P1. The problem is I don't use it enough and the battery can't take the continued drain and recharging.

Thanks

Not sure about the battery thing, i would however guess at £60+.
I do believe there is a device which you plug from the mains into the fag lighter which continuously tops up the battery when the car is not in use. I'm sure someone will know more about it that me!
How can you own a P1 and not use it much, i would live in it!

Try an Optima battery (Yellow Top I think). Might cost up to £200 (estimate) but these are designed to perform better under conditions you described. These are also marketed for use with big ICE installs which draw lots of power, and I have seen them used quite often with BIG installs, so it's probably not just hype. A company called Autoleads (01420 476767) distibutes them in UK.
