new brakes
Had some new front brakes fitted , 4 pot calipers uprated discs and pads when i got my car back today have found the steering is much less responsive before it felt very sensitive it now feels more solid . I dont no how this is, is it to do with the brakes or poss something else the mechanics have done. Any comments please.
I'm going to assume that you've gone from two pot calipers to the four pot ones, therefore the discs are bigger and heavier, the heavier the discs, the more rotational inertia it has therefore the harder it is to change the direction of it's rotation, ie, bigger discs = heavier steering, I went from four pots to Brembos, and couldn't believe the difference.
I actually prefer the heavier feel, it seems to make it feel more stable.
