Question

Looking to replace my Scoobysport SS back box with something quieter! Anyone have one for sale or swap with mine. Cheers, Marcus

Could someone at least tell me where I can buy a Prodrive rear box?
But it can't be from a Subaru dealership, because mine's an import!

gossythevaleter,
Sounds good to me!
It is the Forester version? Isn't it? Not the Impreza one.
How do you want to do the swap? Because mine is still on the car.
Just for Info, my Scoobysport has done about 18K.
Cheers, Marcus

Hi Marcus,
I am led to believe that the WR Impreza b box will fit, but the hangers have to be repositioned?
I still have the rear box off my STB if you are interested? It did about 30,000 miles before being replaced with a scoobysport one.

Nick,
I have looked into using an Impreza version while I visited Parklane. And these were the findings. Although the running gears are identical, there are a couple of small differences. One of the box brackets is longer and the actual pipe is longer as well. This is all due to the Forester's deeper rear bumper overhang.
Modifying the bracket is feasable, but with the shorter end pipe there is a worry that the majority of exhaust fumes will swirl back under the car. Not wanting to commit suicide by breathing fumes, I am now trying to find a proper Forester back box. If all else fails, the only option is sourcing an STI box from Japan.
Will keep you posted on how I get on.
Regards, Marcus
