Swindon Meets
#62
That makes sense I used to travel from Bristol to Swindon when I was a heavy user of the SIDC. I always wave to other Scoobys in Swindon. Apart from the blue type-r that came out of the parks. Ignorant to say the least lol.

2 plus is a good turn out as this is last minute and a Bank Holiday.....need to top this for a second meet - need to think about a regular place / time / day etc.....as I said I have a month's stay in hospital coming up so will miss at least one meet but I am up for every meet that is organised.

As for regular meets i can have a look at swindon and other places if the White Hart is not good enough.
As for tomorrow i really have no idea where we can have a drive to as i am not very familiar with the local areas around Swindon.
I know there is a white horse thing somewhere near where we gonna be that could be a possible area for a short drive? what everyone thinks? Edmondo you are clearly a veteran of the Swindon meets i bet you know the area well what do you think?

The Sun Inn will be good but not on Bank Holidays or for Lunchtime / Afternoon meets as Coate Water gets really busy.
All the Swindon meets we did were static ones rather than drive outs.........We did one drive out but that ended up as a tour really lol - went bloomin miles and ended up at Chew Valley Lake - about 40 miles away lol....Will have a think where we can go - or perhaps someone else can suggest somewhere we can take a few "arty" pics of the cars lol.
Joined another Forum today and mentioned the meet - have sent a few messages via faecesbook but I think once the piccies go up and we keep this thread alive we might start to garner a bit more interest.
