How can you call yourselves specialists when you don't even insure cars in the big cities?
I got quoted £5000 yesterday cos im in Birmingham.so I shouldn't drive a performance car? What a joke.

Hi,

we insure many customers in 'B' Birmingham postcodes, including many Scoobynet members. We do have criteria to be met for certain postcodes, I can only assume you do not fit part of this criteria unfortunately. You are welcome to PM me your details and I can try and shed some light.

Thanks

Just got a quote for £672.68, bit dissapointed as without any kind of effort using Go Compare I got one for £637 from Esure. Sure its only £35 less but as a specialist insurance company i expected you guys to be cheaper.

37 yrs old 9 yrs no claims WF4 postcode, no convictions, no points,

Hi,

going from the reference it appears you have just used our online facility, this is not a confirmed price.

Be wary of price comparison sites, they often sell stripped back policies with high excesses, also the price may change when you go to buy it.

Thanks

Hi,

our online facility is a very quick quotation device, it assumes a lot of the information.

We'll need to run through the details with you over the phone to offer a confirmed quotation.

Thanks

Thumbs up for Sky from me, I'm 26, 5 years NCD, 3 points, no accidents, 2003 WRX, non standard exhaust, wheels and spoiler, £720. Price comparison sites were quoting around £550 for a standard vehicle, but as soon as you add any mods it was jumping up to £1400-£1500. Also worth noting a lot of your standard car insurers such as Esure, Directline, don't insure modifications, will only replace standard parts, and generally don't like modified cars. I can highly recommend sky for modified cars

Hi Ollie,

Ive been with you guys in the past, and dealt with you.

I brought a forester from Ireland, which I had for 5 years over there and you insured it over here for me, small bit of hassel with the certificate, you had to send montly hand written ones as the system wouldn't take the Irish reg number.

But you did it, and I was greatful. Thank you

Now I just upgraded my focus for another forester(uk reg). I'm with Tesco insurance until Septmeber when my policy is up. My younger sister is on my insurance, and drives the car maybe twice a year if hers is being serviced or MOT'd . But tesco insurance wanted to put up my insurance if I took her off. She has been under me for 1.5 years now and has her own insurance as well with a Full licence and named driver NCD

If I get her insured as a named driver will this be the same with you company. I'd like to keep her on my policy, just in case as she's only 23 and not covered by her own Lexus IS200 car insurance to drive my car forester.

Also will you cover me when I take trips back to Ireland, 2/3 weeks at the most at a time 2-3 times a year.

Thanks

Yeohan

Hi Yeohan,

it is hard to answer your question about the named driver, we'd need to run the details through our system to get a better idea. Feel free to PM me your details when you are ready.

We can offer up to 90 days European cover but this depends on which underwriter we use, please make it clear you need cover for trips back to Ireland.

Thank you

Ollie

Hi,

I'm looking to insure my first Impreza. Have seen a 1998 Import WRX wagon, no mods. Has a Cat 1 Toad Ai606.

I'm 45, live in West Devon and live 3 miles from work. 1 SP30 back in 2008, usual £60 and 3 points, no clains in last 5 yrs. Mileage would be approx 4k a year. Also need my wife, 42, on the policy. She has no convictions or claims in last 5 years.

Do you think you could help? I'm currently at £448 with lots of extras but hoping to get a better deal.

Although I haven't had a performance car for a while, I have owned a GT4 Celica and a Suzuki GSXR750 in the past. Not sure if that helps?

Look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers

Hi,

we can help but £448 is very competitive for an Impreza, it is unlikely you'll see any improvement on that rate.

Thanks

Hi Jon,

we should be able to offer an introductory discount based on the trade/employers claim free driving experience. We usually like to see good experience if insuring an Impreza as well, eg either Impreza ownership or s similar car.

Feel free to get in touch and we'll do our best to help, it may be best to PM me your contact details when you are ready.

Thank you
