Just a piece of 3mm thick aluminium mate.

Needs to be approx 25mm wide by approx 500mm long. Get it slightly over and you can always smooth the edges to suit. Anything thinner than 3mm wont be all that. I personally use 4mm but that has to be drilled and cant be punch on anything but a big *** machine punch.

3mm is perfect

Yeah mate, Dspeed took my idea and made a batch of them.

I had lots of requests to make them but simply didnt have the time to. I think he still has a GB thread running.

I dont even have one at the moment as i gave the original away to a friend lol... i need to make another.

Now that's what you call cutting it to fit ! top marks for that Frayz

What's the plan with the number plate mounting point is it as per standard or have you something else in mind as I know you will be keen on making the best out of air flow as you can ?

There are a couple of options from what I've seen Frayz,

1. Leave as OEM
2. Evo style square over passenger fog cover.... you can then fit a small st/steel sti lettered plate fixed on original mounting point like over on nasioc.
3. Mount in original place but higher.
4. Sticker on bonnet.

I think some P.S. work is needed on this one

Chers Mark, you pics wre a big help at times.

Si, stickerr is a posibility, dont like the evo style mount or keep my smaller OEM plate.

Although in all honesty, a cooler the size of this should be fine whatever i choose, lol

Just thought I would throw a few things in the pot

I think OEM would be the best as well on your's especially with your smaller plate.

hi frayz, ive not bothered reading this thread before this morning, as i thought it would be full of engine tom foolery which i know nothing about

i must say though, its been an outstanding read for the last hour or so, and from someone (me) who is a perfectionist on paper to someone who is a perfectionist on their car (you), i really can appreciate the work thats gone into this thus far.

I`d be tempted to go for a black intercooler personally as it would stand out too much remaining silver IMO

I would usually say black, but it'll get chipped to hell and more visible on a black car, IMO. Silver shows too much; maybe an anthracite/dark grey?
