was I the only one that got an entire pack and put them all in a bundle of tracing paper nicked from School?
Made a hell of a loud bang when that lot got chucked at a wall.

remember one of my bro's friends thinking it would be funny to put one of those french bangers in dog do-do ...... he wouldn't listen when we told him the fuse was too short so we let him get on with it ...... we all hid behind a big advert board laughing ...... it went bang ...... he went home ...... quickly. Laughed so hard it hurt for hours!!!

I remember cutting the "black dots" off a couple of rolls of caps and putting them inside a dried and empty ink cartridge (do they still use fountain pens in schools these days?). Even my dad was fascinated as to what would happen when i hit it with a hammer - and lets just say that it was LOUD, very LOUD
Bloody good fun though

The worlds first plastic bullet!

when we were kids, we used to get a bolt, the bigger the better, put the nut barely on the end, scrape match heads into the gap, screw another bolt to the nut so there was two bolts with a single nut fixed together, we would then throw it on the ground and marvel at the projectile flying into the air. i cringe thinking back how none of us got proper hurt, just burnt fingers caused by over tightening. i also remember one of the lads took a live .22 round into school that he nicked from cadets, our form room was the metalwork room and we used to sneak in before the teacher arrived, we put the bullet into a vice and then hit **** out of it with a hammer. the shell went through the cieling and the bullet through the wall. at the time great fun, but when i think back.......................how ******* stupid could we be, really really idiotic. (no-one was killed).
