With regards to the search..
Can you guys set the default to post date and not relevance. It doesnt work that well, throwing up the same thread multiple times, at times.
Can this be done? Or, if not at the present time, will this be available via the search function(Set Default) or user CP after the server/software upgrade?
It's a bit of a chew on changing it every time I want to search for something.
Cheers.

I expect this might fall on deaf ears....being an SN old school cynic.
We need a usefull information FAQ......No not the admin cop out...just use search.... as that is random as to if you find what you are looking for.
People constantly ask the same questions - fair enough. It would be good if they could go to the 'FAQ Information Stickies section' and find the answer
For example
I started a thread which listed every single subaru impreza turbo made with - bhp and most importantly engine codes....this was for hundreds of varients....now lost in the black hole of SN past posts.
John Felsteads Thread on exactly how and why DCCD works....now lost in the black hole of SN past posts.
There has been some very usefull, detailed and not readily available information posted on here over the years - its about time the threads or the key content of them were made sticky
Steve

What Admin cop out? Please send me a link to where I have ever said that on any of my forums?
Agreed. Give me links to said information and I will create the section.
Nice work, we need to find that.
Also, sounds great.
Totally agree, hence new projects like this are underway now.

Why not someone start a new thread asking people to collate this information. With a hundred of you doing it we could have these topics together over the weekend no problem.

i've bin a member of the MLR for 4 years butim inbetween cars, do I go for an evo or go for a scooby, anyway thats another story.
TBH I think the search function on the forum are rubbish, very hard to find anything at all, dont know if its any better if you pay??
Also the buyers guide on the MLR is good for a person looking to buy a EVO, so I really think this would be a good idea for here, and why not go with a modifying guide eg what can be done to each model before you need new internals etc etc?? Just a basic one but I think it would help alot of people asking the same question time and time again!!
Also the traders section the the MLR is quiet good but could be better, so maybe something you could try over here.
Just my 10pence worths, but overall this forum seems good plenty of people with lots of knowlage and quick to answer you questions!
Good luck
PS also the MLR has a 'View new Posts' function which I thinks really good, can keep track of whats goin on easier. But they do use a different type of software.

A fresh start ...
Thanks for the heads up email on the new aspects of SN. Yes, looking good and has some fresh appeal.
I used to be a regular visitor mainly for the useful 'techie' problem and answer resources. However, back then there was a hard core of superior mindset "If it aint high spec Jap or Germanic it's inferior" types so I and no doubt others drifted away in droves.
May stick around a bit more now.
More power to your wossnames ...
