Hi to the Hull mob (my very first post). I work in same factory as Ferne and she told me to get registered and say hello. I always wave if I spot another Scooby.
I live in Beverley and run a WR blue STi8 with ppp and prodrive springs. Car is trouble free apart from a slight knock in the NSR suspension - nothing new I suspect. Might look in at Elvington on Sunday, please let me know of any other local meets you have set up.
Cheers to all, Dick.

Welcome Dick Elvington on Sunday, then York rolling road on 1st November, then the monthly meet (1st Monday of the month) at the Buckles Inn near York are the upcoming events. You will be made very welcome at any/all of these
Guys, after today I'm out and about a fair bit over the next week or 2 so will hardly get the chance to check on here. You should all have my mobile number if there's anything I need to know about
Steve

not slippy for me that I've noticed but then we bought our scoob with rather expoensive tyres on...
My mate spotted them while we were viewing the car, and asked the guy "why those tyres?"
His answer? "The man at the tyre place recommended them" !!!!
Not totally sure what they are, I'll check, but my mate said later "I asked 'cos they are bloody expensive!!"..

New Boy, Is my Scooby new - yes it is. Had a bug eye when the wife left me 2 years ago and she felt so guilty she let me keep it (didn't argue). As time went by I realised I needed to symbolically let it go. Didn't need much excuse to go for the STi really, I've no responsibilities, I can mod what I like on the car, and life is great. I must be an older member at 54 but please don't tell the insurance co I'm still at a mental age of 17. Birthday? well my mother managed to hang on for an hour or so which means I just avoided being an April fool.
I think the roads are possibly slippery because there's been some salt spread and this makes the roads slimy, believe they don't salt the roads in Sweden for this reason and people just have to deal with the ice. Can't say I've noticed and I'm still on the OE Bridgestones (F1 's when I wear them out). Only misbehavior I get is when I'm clumsy with my right foot.
PUM - Hi I'm in SO106 doing MAF's for the Aquarius project (sorry everyone else PUM will understand). Used to run K1 1990-2001 took SER and am back Agency. Might wander down to see you when my legs need a stretch.
Cheers, Dick.

He he, morning all
Had to log in and post as I was having withdrawal symptoms
So nobody's going to Elvington then
Ads, did you like my silver bus??? Not quite as loud as yours but averages about 50mpg when driven at 95mph on the motorway I might sell the scoob and use the Passat full time!!!

Hello Everyone Hope you are all happy and well??
Just a quick post before I hit the roads again as I won't get much opportunity this week.
Ordered some new discs and pads today from Ian at Godspeed (went for a drive out over the weekend and my brakes were getting noisier by the minute) so that's a nice job for the weekend if anyone's interested in helping out (or even just spectating??)
Ads - my birthday is 9th November which is a Sunday so beers on Fri 7th is probably on the cards. You will all be more than welcome to join in the fun and frolics
