Sills go on them too apparently.
I don't think the MX5 was ever about speed, good job really as they will never break any records.
For me cars like this are about driving down the coast road on hot sunny days or disappearing out into the country side or up a mountain with a picnic basket and a blanket in the boot (because that's all that will fit in there).Always fancied buying one, sticking a boot rack on it with a leather suitcase strapped to it and doing a big European road trip, taking in places like Montecarlo, it's about romance and style, it's a bonus if they handle and stop, because the cars they're mimicking never did, they also weren't particularly reliable either, Triumph anyone.

It doesn't particularly need more power (kinda like the GT86 but that's a different story). Yeah you could turn one into a real weapon but most people wouldn't bother.

Been there, done that, all over Europe and the UK on road and dirt, longest trip being down to Pamplona in Spain to see the running of the bulls on my Ducati Monster 900 way back in 1998, getting too old for all that these days, truth be told, it's a real ball ache doing the lot on a bike, if I were to do it all over again I'd chuck the bikes in the back of a decent sized van and actually enjoy them once I got there, as opposed to thinking **** me, I've got to do that all over again to get home.

My missus has a 1.8 nb, and that suffered with a failing cat, strangled the power until it couldn't pull much more than about 60mph, changed cat and all is fine. My son is quite impressed and thinks it goes pretty well when I give it the beans.
Nowhere near Subaru standard, but then it's more about the handling and it's more enjoyable to drive than the Subaru.
My mum has a new nd, it's only a 1.5 but has not far off the power of our nb, and they are supposed to be lighter as well. It's a great little car, it hasn't the torque of the 1.8 and I haven't really given it any wellie as it was still being run in when I last drove it, but it feels very similar to the nb to drive, but a lot better equipped and better thought out inside.
