I was extremely disappointed with the way he quickly 'washed his hands' of it - immediately after the game...and moreover, the next morning in which he said that.
I assumed he was a far more 'honourable' bloke than that.
Sad, really. Nay, childish.

Not with a manager who won't be afraid to pick players on form and not reputation, not with a manager who has built a career on getting the best out of average players, not with manager who's Bolton side was a regular top 10 side and built on a shoe string or a manager who laid the foundation for the current West Ham team....No words needed for what he done for Sunderland!
He has proved time and time again he can get players to perform, its not luck it's proof he is a highly motivated expert in man-management.
We will have to agree to disagree because I think it's what the national side need, an Englishman who is not scared to make big decisions.

Allardyce will be cr4p as England manager just like Steve Mclaren was and just as Hodgson was. How the FA expect someone who has won nothing at club level and never managed a big club then be any good at international level is beyond me

We all dodged a bullet there.
Henderson captain, shouldn't even be in the squad ffs, even more so when you Barkley not even making the squad.

He was cr4p at West Ham which is why he was replaced with Slaven Bilic who funnily enough is a foreign manager who has come in and done an infinitely better job

Literally, same old same old.
It was a carbon copy performance of when we played 'em in the Euros.
The only 'positive' was, we laid siege to their goal again, in the final 15 mins. But this time eventually getting the goal in 'the last minute of the last minute'! Finally, after 27 matches, Lallana gets a goal.
But the previous 80 mins was utter, utter rot.

I'm very disappointed Big Sam chose the same team that Hodgson used at the Euros when it's proved it doesn't work, I was hoping for a change of personnel.
A.L deserved his goal once again being England's most creative player but Hart is still a liability, Sterling still runs into brickwalls, Henderson still proving he has stolen a career as a professional player, Kane still looks out of his depth and Rooney should end his international career right now.

But he was only ever going to be the same as Hodgson and Mclaren, no flair and creativity in the team or tactics just a carbon copy of the Euros performances.
If you take a manager who has only managed lesser clubs and played defensively for points throughout their career you aren't going to get attacking football. Look at the clubs Allardyce and Mclaren have managed at and how they have played and even Hodgson with admittedly a better club history his style is anything but attacking football.
Look at the other English managers and the clubs they manage, none of them are at top clubs and always playing for points to survive in the Premiership - that is their style and type of game they are used to they aren't used to winning trophies and playing attacking football which is why we end up with the same thing when we appoint an English manager.
To change the performance of the England team we need to look at managers with a background of winning and playing attacking football and sadly they won't be English!
Venables and Sir Bobby were the last 2 English England managers to play attacking football and they both managed Barcelona.

You still need the players to execute the tactics. With what seems to be the "chosen" selection of players, they are just not cutting it irrelevant of the tactics. As I said in my previous comment, Sterling, just runs into brickwalls and doesn't seem to have the ability to go past players and Kane, looks like he couldn't hit a barn door when he shoots, totally kicking air lastnight when in front of goal and look at his performance in the Euro's.......shocking! As for Henderson, his first thought when he has the ball (if he hasn't made a wayward pass or lost it) is whether he can pass it sides ways or backwards.
As for Rooney, I don't see the point of building a team around a 30 year old who has already stated he plans to retire from international football after the World Cup. Sam needs to thank him for his contribution to the national side and end his England career for him and look to the future instead of right now.
There does seem to be a theme with the national side that every manager has adopted and that's trying to squeeze the so called "best" players into a formation instead of picking the right players for a formation.
Hopefully Big Sam will get it right.

Well big Sam was my choice and still is I went to 3 of the games in France including the Iceland one and in my opinion He is the best man for the job at this time ...as for Rooney I would go on club form and he's not doing it at moment just hope Sam drops him if he thinks unlike other previous England managers
