It's a weekend car so 99% of time it's just me in the car! sometimes me and the wife!

Yes mate my usage is pretty much the same either on my tod or just a single passenger , I have a harness bar in already awaiting the new seats and harnesses , although if the tears are removed it wouldn't be an issue no to be able to wrap them

Think I'll keep the clips on to start with, pass over a harness bar and Bolt down in the old rear seatbelt holes or something, with the rear seats removed

Can't wait. Should enhance the driving experience quite nicely

Haha, wifey got you. So you'll be outside on Xmas day fitting them while wife's cooking dinner?

Reminds me, need to ask yard man if he's got any steel bars about.

Bloody hell, you have nice family, my wife wouldn't buy me anything car related as nothing really costs £10 like I tell her

Spoke to matt today,
And, the seats are in production and will be dispatched from Monday, he's got a lot to dispatch (around 500) so he said give it till Thursday to be on the safe side for delivery (TNT). The guy in Northern Ireland, give it till Friday latest.
In fairness they should arrive before, Tuesday the earliest.
If you don't get by Friday, let me know and I'll contact matt or you could contact Corbeau yourself.

Guys I've just been measuring up for brackets this morning, this may not make much sense but basically if you take the original seats out and use the original brackets which mount to the seat rails the rear brackets don't line up horizontally, so in order to get away with this you need to use quite thick bar for the rears, around 5 inches, the fronts aren't a problem and any desired thickness can be used as they meet across level, my seats are from a v2 STI ra so not sure if the seat brackets are different for other models, has anyone else measured up yet and if so what are your thoughts

I ordered 2x1mtr 8mmx40mm stainless steel bars of eBay which I plan to cut into halves to make the four bars, fortunately the seats I have in situ are rubbish so I'm just gonna drill off the x4 mounts and bolt them to the above bar......

They would be two narrow unless you were to run the rear brackets diagnolly, if you look at the rear original brackets the one by the centre console sits further forward then the one by the rear door, hence perhaps using thicker bar, it may be different for other models though

Matt I will be running the bars front to front if that makes sense did you see the original thread

https://www.scoobynet.com/scoobynet-...ws-anyone.html

One of the members has already fitted these seats using 5mm x30mm bars, I did speak to rob who has done the seats and said it was easy enough, check the link above and check out the bottom of the pics u can see where he has placed the bars.

To me it looks like the bars are running across if you look at picture 6 then the buckets bolted to the bars, but this will be slightly difficult for the rears unless you had two front to back then two across?

Newages and classics may be different slightly.
I'll be putting in a classic so will see when I get round to fitting over Xmas hopefully so will get bars when I've looked first. Thanks for heads up matt.
I can't see it being too much fuss though.

Lol when I saw update on this thread I thought some lucky bugger got their seats before me
Hopefully seats will start arriving from tomorrow.......are you excited folks
